Store Credit

Since your used books are the main source of our inventory, we want to make trading in books as easy as possible.

The first time you trade in books, we’ll open a store credit account for you, and we’ll adjust the account balance when you trade in more books or purchase books with credit. The amount will be stored on our computers, so you don’t have to worry about losing anything.

You’ll receive a percentage of what we price the books as store credit, which can then be used on anything priced in the store (new or used). Your credit never expires.

In order to make trading in books easier on both you and us, we ask that you only bring in one box at a time (per day) and that you remove rejected books from the store within 24 hours (otherwise, we reserve the right to dispose of them).

We will always take as many books as possible, so if we do reject certain books, it is unlikely that we will take those books in the future, so you only need to check each book with us once.

Certain books have a much lower chance of being accepted for store credit. We are generally not interested in older textbooks (not current edition), mass market paperbacks (the kind you find at the grocery store), book club books, or condensed books (like Reader’s Digest). Books should also be in good condition.

Using Store Credit

When you want to use your store credit, just tell us when you are purchasing your items. We’ll take the amount off your balance (and tell you what you owe if your balance doesn’t cover your purchases) and adjust the balance on our computer. There’s never a service charge to use your store credit.

You may use your store credit on anything priced in the store, and it never expires. Store credit is not transferable (except in rare instances) and may NOT be used to buy gift certificates or for special orders.
